Level Design portfolio /

Abbey

Bomb defusal map set around a french abbey near the city of Gordes. The design of the level is heavily focused on the competitive aspect of the game. Featuring vertical spaces, areas for close quarter combat as well as a few sniper spots, the level supports a wide range of weapons and strategies. My responsibilities for this project were:
• Layout design
• Art direction
• Set dressing
• Optimisation
• Filtering players feedback
• Making changes based on players feedback
• Handling playtests

A big shoutout to TheWhaleman who was responsible for creating all the custom assets for the level. Abbey won second place in Mapcore’s CSGO Mapping contest and was later officially included in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

• Layout design
• Art direction
• Set dressing
• Filtering players feedback
• Making changes based on players feedback

I teamed up with Vaya and Terri on this one. Original version of this map called „Brest” won third place in Day of Infamy Mapping Contest and later got included into the offical game as „Britanny”.

Transit

Map features two level gameplay with one of the bombsites being underground.
My responsibilities for this project were:
• Layout design
• Art direction
• Optimization
• Set dressing
• Filtering players feedback
• Making changes based on players feedback
• Handling playtests

On this one I worked together with Vorontsov who was responsible for asset creation. The project is still in development.

Cargo

Bomb defusal map set in old military base located in east europe.
This map was my first solo project that I finished for Counter – Strike Global Offensive. Map is based on four clover layout with some verticality allowing players to cover wide areas with sniper rifles. It features open mid area designed to be no man’s land. Whoever controls it takes acces to the bombsites connectors.
Cargo was a playtest ground for me to get used to specific pipeline when creating levels for competitive play. I learned to filter players feedback and balance the changes based on it as well as working on rough blockout.
